It’s about listening deeply to the sensations, emotions, and energy that live in your body, and gently letting go of what no longer serves you.
Trauma, stress, and emotional blocks often get “trapped” in the body. Somatic work helps release them, making space for vitality, clarity, and a sense of freedom.

Somatic Healing in Everyday Life
Somatic healing doesn’t only happen in a session — you can bring it into your daily life, your home, or even outdoors. Some of my favorite practices include:
- Nature & Sensory Immersion – Stand barefoot on the earth, feel the rain on your skin, or let the wind brush your face. Notice the textures, temperatures, and movements. These sensations are a form of grounding and allow your nervous system to reset naturally.
- Full, Conscious Breathing – Take deep belly breaths, fully inhaling and exhaling, imagining you are letting go of tension, worries, or emotions you no longer need to hold.
- Gentle Movement & Stretching – Sway, stretch, roll your shoulders, or move your fingers. These small, conscious movements release tension and awaken energy.
- Body Scan Meditation – Pause to slowly bring attention to each part of your body, noticing warmth, tingling, tension, or ease. Awareness itself creates release.
- Journaling & Reflection – Write down sensations, emotions, or insights that arise. Journaling anchors your awareness and supports your healing process.
Even with these solo practices, a guided somatic session helps jumpstart the process, safely releasing deeper blocks and activating your energy with massage, Reiki, herbal rituals, and mentoring.
