We all have this battle daily. Should I text them back. Should I drive this way to work or that way? Should I date this person or let them go? Should I attend school or not. Should I eat a cookie or fruit?
Should I or Shouldn’t I? That is the battle daily. What about the more tasking ones that we do have to make daily, the ones that weigh in the back of our minds that no one knows we battle with.
What if we are battling with our souls inner light and darkness. The God and or Devil on the shoulder so to speak. See when you start this journey of life you are not just the body you are in. You are much more. The light in you is the darkness in you is your soul.
Your soul is on a journey. One that is so unique on its own that while along this journey you are tasked with battles. These battles will balance your light and dark.

I love this quote. The prison we are in? What does that mean to you when you read that? Have you ever been in prison and if so how did you feel? Have you ever been in a prison of self embodiment? Have you been in a prison of the soul not growing?
Each one of us have been in some sort of prison, if that is physically, mentally or spiritually we all have been in one.
Now how does one get out of such binds? Is it only through the light or is it tapping into your dark shadow to see you through both lenses of you?
I’m that soul mentor that will encourage all to step into to both. How do you really know you if you don’t know your dark and light side. How do you know how to balance them if you don’t know the devil as well as god.
Having these deep conversations with both tells you more about you then anyone could ever. The balancing act is yes a dangerous one. Why? Because we can get lost in the feel good of the dark. We can also get lost in the light thinking we are better then others. Balance is key!
I am the first to admit I love my dark side. I enjoy frolicking about in it yet I know if I stay there to long I can get lost and will then be pulled off my path of what my soul is suppose to be doing.
My light, man I can be such an uppity bitch and forget that we all are on different parts on this road and not to forget to just love others ( and leave them )as they are on their path. I don’t need to judge and can just keep moving along my own journey.
Now I know you are asking, Christina why the hell are you talking about balancing the light the dark with in our soul?
I worked with a client who’s been feeling conflicted about taking a break from smoking weed. They love the high but notice it’s making them foggy and lethargic, especially with big life changes like school, a new career, and a move ahead.
We all have gone through this back and forth of letting go of habits that hinder us along our journey.
They want to focus but feel guilty for not stepping away yet. I asked them: Why do you feel you need a break? Why do you feel bad for not stopping?
Often, it’s about finding what we truly seek through these habits. We all struggle with managing things we enjoy—whether it’s a drink or a smoke—sex-gambling-shopping-eating even working out to to much or the relationship we just cant seem to let go of knowing its not conducive to the growth but it’s about balance.
I always say its unfortunate at times when we are tasked to see our selves deeply in the mirror because it brings up issues we didn’t want to see, feel and deal with yet its so import to.

Our soul, body, and mind eventually come together to show us we don’t need these habits to feel whole. Until then, it’s important to be gentle with ourselves. Indulging doesn’t mean failure; it’s part of our journey toward balance and strength. The key is to learn from those moments when we step back, and to keep pushing forward with love and understanding.
Don’t push so hard you are not flowing. These changes to balance out the light and dark can take time, years even and if you believe life after death many life times.
Ask yourself: Are those around you supporting your growth, or holding you back? Your journey is uniquely yours, and both your light and shadow sides need to learn to dance together. Embrace your process and don’t be so hard on yourself.
Ultimately, both light and shadow sides must learn to coexist harmoniously.
